L.I.F.E.

1. L.I.F.E. Loving the Incredible Feeling of Existing. I just thought of this quote tonight. I'm going to have to do something with that acronym.
2. Who knew that I could have made so many cool little craft projects in one day?  I am so excited to make the next project. This is all part of my 30 crafts in 30 days challenge. Check it out here.
3. I had another talk with my roommate and things have gone back to "business as usual" except for the things that were the issue.  I'm glad I started that conversation with him.
4. The Peppermint Mocha International Coffee Creamer is DELICIOUS!
5. The spaghetti I made tonight... THE BOMB! That is all.

New York, New York, You're a Helluva Town

It was 5:30 AM and I was up and at 'em.  Ready to conquer the world - well, NYC anyhow and more specifically, Good Morning America.  There are many things I want to do during my visit here and today I achieved a couple of them.

1. We made it to Times Square to check out Good Morning America. I loved getting to see Lara Spencer and Josh Elliot in person.  We all got some face time on camera too - I loved that!
2. I scored a new t-shirt from the NBC Studios Store for $5!  You can't beat that with a stick!
3. I got to see the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular - all thanks to my friend Colby and a Groupon!  We all had orchestra level seats, too.  Great job! 
4. I required a nap this afternoon and loved that I got one.  It helped me feel a little more refreshed. 
5. We were on a search for a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf today and found one.  YES, we got that red velvet hot cocoa - DELICIOUS!!!

T.G.I.F.

1. Having someone get me coffee in the morning and knowing EXACTLY how I like it to be made is awesome. Hmm.. Someone remembers details.  I love that!
2. Oprah's Lifeclass just keeps on teaching me great things and causes me to be self-reflective. I love that.
3. I got a lot done today at work but not everything but to understand that Rome wasn't built in a day is the real message for the day.
4. It's funny, but JUST when you REALLY need something is when you get it.  You just have to trust in that.  I trusted in that and it just worked itself out.
5. It's always good hearing from my brother. Our conversation just seemed to solidify that I need to follow my passion and continue to feed it. Giving it time and care will allow it to flourish.

Song Binging and Crab Caking

1. Walking to Starbucks on campus with two great women in our office was a nice, yet brief, highlight.
2. That taco salad in a bag by Dole - yeah.. that stuff is delicious.  When you add in the buffalo chicken nuggets it becomes scrumdiliumptious!
3. On another food note - I made rémoulade sauce for my crab cakes. It really wasn't that hard to make!  Very tasty and just what the crab cakes needed. 
4. That new song by Kelly Clarkson, "Mr. Know It All" - I have been song-binging on that tune all damn day!  I love it! So much so that you should take a listen now. REALLY COOL SONG ALERT!
5.  I'm excited about an opportunity to possibly go to NYC next week - even if it's just for a day and a half.  I should know in the next day or so if it'll be a reality. 

Fresh and Clean and More Caffeine

1.  While I find it hard to say goodbye - I always look forward to saying, "Welcome back!".
2. A friend and I ate at a really good El Salvadorian/Mexican restaurant in Eastern Market today. It was featured in Guy Fieri's visit with Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. The restaurant is called Tortilla Cafe.  Really good tasting food. I will return. 
3. I had a good coffee at Eastern Market, too!  It came from Marvelous Market. Just a regular coffee (French Roast) with room for my own cream and sugar.  I used raw sugar and it was delicious!
4. Peace and quiet will be in my house for the next 5 days. YAY! Love it! 
5. As I was preparing to give my dog a bath today, I closed the doggy door so that he couldn't run outside and away from me.  Well, I went upstairs and grabbed a towel out of the linen closet and he jumped into the bath tub all on his own.  WOW!  I guess he said, "It's about time I got a bath because I'm tired of smelling like shit!".  At least I want to believe that. :0)

Do You know Where You're Going to? Do You Like the Things that Life is Showing You??

1. It's always nice to see friends when they're passing through your area. I haven't seen Kyle in about 2 years. I love that when he saw me he said, "Where did you go?" - meaning I lost weight and it's clearly noticeable. :0)
2. I got to see a someone again and that was great. Looking forward to the next time.
3. To almost be able to drive through D.C. without a GPS is something worth loving. I had the general idea of the direction I need to go and I was in the general vicinity. hahaha
4. I never really had a pumpkin iced latte from Dunkin Donuts until yesterday.  Man, those are REALLY good.  I will have to get another one some day this fall. 
5. The movie Moneyball was GREAT!  I wasn't too sure on it when I first saw the previews but then the reviews came out and it looked like a winner.  Don't you just love, when you're in a movie theatre, that the entire audience laughs, cheers and sniffles at the same time? That's the sign of an awesome movie.

5 Things to Make a Saturday Awesome

1. Waking up in the morning with a smile is awesome! :0)
2. I love how I can now drive around D.C. after 3 years and not really need my GPS.
3. I went to a coffee shop tonight and saw they had books that anyone can take for free. It’s through http://bookcrossing.com  I picked up, “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”.  I’ve been wanting to read this and here I am with it for free!  Now I need to find other locations to leave books that I have that I have read.  I love this concept!
4. I ate at a great restaurant today called Ted’s Montana Grill.  Ted Turner owns it and it serves up buffalo meat - which is DELICIOUS.  If you ever get a chance to eat there, be sure to get the salt and pepper onion rings.  The dip that comes with it is AMAZING. 
5. On another note, the server at Ted’s Montana Grill was exceptionally charming and made our day.  If only all people were that happy and friendly at work. Thank you, Ben.
