Thinkin' of a Master Plan

While running on the treadmill I think of lots of things.  Today I came up with a great idea. It's like my form of meditation. hahaha

  1. What better gift to give someone than the gift of gratitude?  I thought of this while working out tonight.  Basically I'd write a letter about why I'm grateful for the person in my life.  It almost moved me to tears while I was running on the treadmill.  Part of me is afraid to show the tender side of myself while the other part of me thinks it's the biggest gift I could offer someone this year - to show how much they've meant to me. WOW!  That's deep.
  2. I saw a video about job safety today. It was made in Canada and it is INTENSE.  Point well taken, Canada!  Check out the video here.
  3. I got 4 orders for bracelets today!  WOO HOO!!  You can tell it's Christmastime!
  4. Today I was able to spend some time chillin' out with some students and that's always a good time. It keeps me in tune - Plus they ALWAYS make me laugh.
  5. I stepped on the scale tonight and noticed that I was down 5 pounds.  That's pretty substantial because you usually weigh more at night - so it's probably more like 7 pounds. Heeeeey!  hahaha The plan is working.

I Love the Nightlife - I Like to Boogie

Saturday, how did you slip away so fast?  I don't know where the last few days of my life have really gone.  I haven't even done these lists on the same day for the last few days!  I need to get it together. hahahaha I am definitely tired as can be this morning.  I need to rest up and get productive!

  1. Running for 20 consecutive minutes - PROGRESS!
  2. I went out in D.C. and had a good time - sang karaoke (my signature song - Wanted Dead or Alive) and ran into some people I know.  I love the randomness of it all!
  3. Who doesn't love Alberto's Pizza late at night?  If you say you don't love it, it's probably because you've never had it. hahaha
  4. I love that I have an iPhone.  It makes navigating D.C. on foot so much easier.
  5. I went into Home Depot today and found something I had been looking for.  It was staring me right in the face. Just like it was waiting for me.

Yesterday. Busy, But Fun.

I was supposed to start my 30 days of Crafting yesterday and time just got away from me. I also wasn't able to rattle off a blog entry yesterday.  It's all good though. There are worst things that could happen. I'll make up for lost time tomorrow because I will do three projects! If you want to follow the adventure - check me out here: http://mantasticcrafts.blogspot.com/

  1. Planning for my crafting adventures I rolled into Michael's and found some items on clearance.  I will have to say, one of my concerns about this challenge on making a craft item each day was the money aspect.  Well, I'm happy to report that I picked up about 5 days worth of projects for less that $20! I love a good deal.
  2. Dinner at Sweet Water Tavern. YUM!  Good food!
  3. When I got home tonight, I saw that the kitchen has continuously remained clean. No dishes in the sink or filth on the counter top. I love that someone decided to keep things tidy (that someone being my housemate).
  4. A student said to me, "You've been working out a lot, huh?" and I replied, "Yeah I have." She then said, "Oh yeah, I can tell. Good job!"  That was two comments within less than 24 hours about this.  I guess the running is doing what I had hoped it would do.  VIVA LA EXERCISE!
  5. I can sense the slowing down of the school year as we approach the holidays.  I am so very excited to chill the heck out for a while. Should I take an extra week off work?  I have a ton of vacation days. Hmmm... I love having these kind of options.

I Hate to Go But I Simply Mustache....

  1. After several days of skipping out on going to the gym, I made my triumphant return!  I am proud to say that I did it and wasn't winded! Ahh yes, progress!
  2. I hung out with one of my friends who just moved to this part of Northern Virginia. I got to show her a new restaurant and where the ABC Store is. hahaha
  3. Tonight posed a great surprise.  I got a message from a customer on Etsy who wanted to buy three bracelets. Got it, no problem.  Then she messaged me again and asked for another bracelet.  WOO HOO!! Who doesn't love making a multiple sale?
  4. With the sale of these bracelets I get to move up in the fundraising boards for Movember!  LOVE IT! I get to add another $10 to the mix. Would you like to contribute? :0)
  5. Today I finished working the first resume that Nicole and I have taken on in our resume business. Looks like we got our second one coming in!!

Fitness and Funny CAN Coexist

  1. I love Siri on my iPhone.  That's some amazing technology.
  2. I didn't want to go to the gym today - however, when I finally made the decision to get off my ass and go, I felt so good for having done so.
  3. Nicole and I went to see Wanda Sykes on campus today.  Such a funny show.  We sat in the front row and never got picked on.. That's a good thing.  Loved both her and the warm up act.
  4. I have peace and quiet in the house this weekend.  My roommate is gone and it makes it ultra quiet and peaceful.
  5. I love this t-shirt that I bought a couple weeks ago. It has the word "COEXIST" on it. You've probably seen it before on bumper stickers.

Tired - Definitely Not Wired.

  1. Today I tackled cleaning off my desk and taking care of a few projects that have been lingering. I am certainly excited to have done that and I love that I have cleared off spaces on my desk.
  2. Since it was raining, I wasn't sure that I'd run at the gym... then I decided I had better do it.  I'm glad I did. It felt good and who doesn't love feeling good about what they've accomplished?
  3. Orders in my Etsy Shop seem to be rolling in regularly. This is a good thing!  I hope it keeps up.
  4. My team bowled against another fun team.  That's always a good thing.  Too bad not all teams are the same. I even got recognized for bowling a 214 in September. Tonight I bowled one great game - a 172.
  5. My teammates went to California Pizza Kitchen for dinner. It was Herb's birthday.  I had a delicious Thai Salad. It was 1155 calories though... Not a good look! HAHAHA However, I was still under 2500 calories for the day. That's pretty good.. and running at the gym took off nearly 800 calories.. so I'm in good shape!
